Issue 2 Love Letter from the Editor

Summer in Maine is here! That means; tourists, traffic, fireworks, horseflies, and long lines at your favorite eatery. But what summer in Maine also means; long, beautiful days, nights spent under the stars, visiting your favorite ice cream store, and a quick swim in the ocean and an even longer one in the nearest lake.

For our second issue, we interviewed an incredible group of women. I continue to be in awe, but not surprised by, the amount of phenomenal people in Maine who are doing amazing things. We also have a special cover this issue, designed by Nina Devenney of Wild Rosie.

When I first received the proof of Issue 2’s cover by Nina, I started crying. It is so beautiful and it seemed as if I was watching my dreams come true in that very moment. Nina’s message of ‘Take Care of Each Other’ is a welcome reminder to check in on one another, not only during difficult times, but always.

One way that I know how to take care of this community is to continue bringing the stories and interviews of amazing people who are doing kick ass things here in Maine. My hope is that these stories inspire you to lean into fear and take a chance on yourself.
