Issue 3, Love Letter from the Editor

Mercedes Arnold, Creator + Editor in Chief

You may have noticed a new logo at the top of our page. Thanks to the incredible Portland-based graphic designer, Sabrina Volante, we have a beautiful new logo, brand colors, and an amazing Issue 3 cover!

When Sabrina and I had our first meeting, we talked about the direction of the magazine and what it means to me and what I hope it means to our readers. After working on three issues thus far, it’s clear to me there is no shortage of wonderful people in Maine who care deeply about this community of artists, entrepreneurs, and makers. Part of the magazine’s mission is to give the Maine small business community a space to share their stories, but it’s more than that.

Our vision for this space is to become one of shared stories, columns, art, cute shop items, and more. All of this is possible with your reading, commenting, and sharing with others. We’d love to feature more writers, photographers, and other artists in the magazine and are excited to continue to expand the magazine and the voices in it. The diverse voices and visions of those who contribute make this the exciting space it is. If you’d like to contribute please reach out to us at himainevibes@gmail.com.

Sending you all warmest regards and best wishes (name that show),
