A&E Stoneworks Slate Coasters
Now that we are moving back inside, a little secret about me is I’m obsessed with coasters. I can’t stand water ring marks on my furniture. Also, like many other items, I change them out with the seasons, but these always seem to be my go-to. The black slate coaters made by A&E Stoneworks are the perfect gift for the person who likes to keep their house nice and clean and will go with any decor!
Cheers,
Julie

Nubble Light Candle Company Fall Candles
Crafted by hand in Kittery on Abenaki, Pennacook, and Wabanaki native land, inspired by the natural world around them. They hand-pour these high-quality, cozy-smelling candles individually right here on the coast of Maine! These soy wax candles are vegan, clean burn, and non-toxic, with extended burn times and near-zero waste. I personally cannot wait to try the fall scents! With names like “Stephen King’s Study,” “New England Leaf Peeper,” and “Burial Grounds of Historic New England,” they will be great conversation starters as well as mood lifters!
Enjoy!

Sweetgrass Cranberry Gin
Warmest regards to all the gin-drinking ladies out there! This Cranberry Gin is made by Sweetgrass in Union, Maine, and makes the perfect Thanksgiving/Winter drink! With gin’s natural flavor and cranberry, it makes for a tart treat during those colder nights. If you are looking for something to do, I also highly recommend visiting their Union tasting room. Constance and Keith have done a great job creating an original tasting room.
Cheers,
Julie

Grey Goose Gourmet Hot Pepper Jelly
Fall and football season are here! Sunday gatherings in Maine would not be complete without someone bringing a crockpot of Grey Goose Gourmet’s famous meatballs (check out her website for the recipe)! When I bought my house, my neighbor gifted me the sweetest housewarming gift bag full of her hot pepper jellies and the recipe for what, I thought for years was HER famous meatballs… Turns out they were a Grey Goose Gourmet original! I always have at least two jars of her Hot Pepper Jelly stocked for a quick and easy cheesy appetizer with brie or cream cheese – always a crowd pleaser!
Enjoy!

White Pine Bath & Brew Apple Beer Soap
I met Elaine at Fete Market in Portland and realized I’ve been buying her beer soaps for gifts for years! They make for the most fun and unique gift – pairing two of my favorite things, luxury spa vibes, and beer! Beer is said to be beneficial for the skin because it contains brewers’ yeast and hops. The brewers’ yeast contains riboflavin, pantothenic acid, biotin, and a number of other essential B vitamins. So you see, everything can be better with beer!
Enjoy!

Homemade Apple Bread
Nothing brings the family together better than baking! This feature serves doubly as a fun activity with the family, while passing along a sweet treat. With the weather cooling, the apple orchards opening, and hunting season starting – I find myself reminiscing. I picture my dad packing up the truck to head upta camp. I see the dog running around behind him, and my mom bustling in the kitchen. It smells like all the yummy fall things - apples, cinnamon, and bread! Please enjoy this recipe from my grandmother’s kitchen, that brought our family so many cozy, yummy memories, with your own. You may even want to wrap it up in a beautiful locally made tea towel…
Enjoy friends!
